History
In 1999 Bill Luedey Jr. established Luedey Consultants as a sole proprietorship to provide consultation services to a handful of organizations based in Halifax. As the client base grew it was obvious the business needed to evolve and it took no more than a quick conversation between a father and a son decide they needed to partner together to establish Luedey Consultants Inc. in 2002. Bill Luedey Sr. and Bill Luedey Jr. saw an opportunity in Atlantic Canada to add to the foundation Bill Luedey Jr. had already built to establish a boutique Benefits Consulting firm that could offer consultation to plan sponsors with local service and a client focused service model. Through years of hard work, an incredibly dedicated and passionate team, support from clients and providers, LCI has positioned itself as a reputable and industry leading Benefits Consulting firm in Atlantic Canada.

Although he “only” started working in the benefits industry in 1975, Bill Sr. has an infinite amount of industry experience. His reputation for his attention to detail and dedication to a high level of service standards is known throughout the industry. Bill Luedey Jr.
Bill Jr. had the good fortune to be introduced to the benefits industry at a young age. Since he has started in the industry, he has had the chance to work with national consulting firms and a large insurance carrier. His benefits experience includes working with businesses of all sizes and public sector organizations, focusing on plan design, cost containment, surveys, communication, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, and workplace wellness. While he enjoys cheering the Raptors and Patriots, he takes an even greater enjoyment of cheering for his kids on the rink, court and field.
consultant
Tim Foster
Tim has been able to gain experience working for some large insurance carriers and a local consulting firm prior to joining LCI in 2014. Since joining LCI, Tim has taken an interest in servicing clients led by Trustees and Board Members, along with benefit plans based on hour-banks. He has a strong understanding of the financial aspects of these types of plans, in addition, he is very knowledgeable with respect to drug plan designs and underwriting. Besides being a great guy, he was an obvious choice for LCI to hire because he is from Cape Breton. Beside being a dog lover and our in-house foodie, he was recently introduced to fatherhood and he is enjoying every minute of it.
consultant
Michelle Lucas
Michelle has been with LCI for many years in a variety of roles. Overtime, she has focused on servicing small and mid-sized businesses and trade unions. Michelle enjoys the client interaction while supporting clients during renewals, market studies, implementing new benefit plans and client communication. When free time is available, you might find her behind a camera lens capturing those special moments of her two girls whether they are on the ice, dancing or enjoying the lake.
consultant
Hali Payne
Hali might be LCI’s newest consulting team member, but she has fit in like she has been with us forever. Hali is able to quickly develop a natural rapport with clients. Her industry experience with a variety of insurance carriers allows her to provide knowledgeable consultation on administration practices and plan design. She has knack for detail, which aligns well with LCI’s client focused service model. Outside of work, Hali might be found cheering on her daughter on the curling rink and volunteering her time to support local pet shelter organizations.
consultant
Todd Sparks
Todd represents LCI in our Fredericton satellite office. From his first day with LCI, Todd has taken a strong focus on putting the client first and listening to their needs. His focus has been primarily working with small and mid sized clients to ensure they have the right plan in place and the proper administration protocols. You don’t need to walk around Fredericton with Todd for too long to realize that he is a very well respected individual in his community. Although he no longer needs to drive his kids around to the local rinks and gyms, he is a proud father to his children.
